Our annual meeting is Friday March 9th in 4th floor Blues Club. Please contact the office to buy tickets in advance. Tickets are $10 for students, $20 for adults, $10 for partner families along with 1 free ticket. Future board members are also entitled to 1 free ticket.

We'd like to wish Don Griffin the best of luck at his new home in Eugene Oregon where he serves as Director at the Springfield-Eugene Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Richmond continues to grow its capacity to provide affordable housing in partnership with low income members of our community. We are completing a record 7 houses in 2006, which will take our total to 44 houses completed since our founding in 1990. Two new houses are underway. The Richmond High School building trades class is building one house for Habitat during 2006-2007 school year. A team of RV Care-a-Vanners will be in Richmond working on a house from April 29 - March 9th.

April 28 is the dedication ceremony for the Thrivent for Lutherans sponsored house, cosponsored and built by 6 Lutheran churches in Wayne County. The house will be located on the corner of S L and S 20th. This unique sponsorship program is building over 500 homes around the United States in 2006.

Groups from Earlham College and the Habitat campus chapter at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio will be participating on a regular basis in Habitat builds in Richmond throughout the 2007-2008 school year.

HFH of Greater Richmond is delighted to announce our newest full-time volunteer, RJ Goss, has joined the Habitat team as Construction Supervisor through Indiana HabitCorps' AmeriCorps volunteer program. RJ will help Habitat expand its building efforts for this year.

Volunteers help us build houses every Wednesday afternoon from 12:30PM to 3:30PM and each Saturday from 8:00AM to 3:00PM. Other building times for groups may be arranged. Habitat is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law and may be sent to HFH of Greater Richmond, 1004 North A Street, Richmond, IN 47374.
