Program Funding

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Richmond is a non-profit tax-exempt organization. Funds come from individuals, churches, businesses, service groups, grants, in-kind corporate contributions, and partner family mortgage payments. Volunteers contribute thousands of hours in building Habitat homes and helping to operate the organization.

Cans for Habitat

Donate your aluminum cans to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Richmond. Through this program, Habitat for Humanity raises funds for homebuilding by recycling aluminum cans.
It has never been easier to be a Habitat donor! Your donations of aluminum cans support Habitat for Humanity and the environment by recycling donated aluminum cans.
Help support Habitat simply by recycling!

• Collect aluminum cans in your home and drop them off at our collection area.

• Collect cans at your workplace, business, church, social club, school, etc. We can provide specially marked collection bins, posters and a periodic pick-up service for large quantities of cans.

• Teachers - introduce your students to volunteerism and community service through a classroom can collection project.

• Invite us to set up our collection bins during special events held by your organization (company picnics, church suppers, festivals, service club events, etc.)
Sign up for collection bins and start donating at your workplace, business, church, social club or school.
