Exterior of Habitat for Humanity

Welcome!

After many hours of hard work, we have an updated website!   Special thanks to Will Myers, a Bonner Scholar from Earlham College, who’s talent shows within this new site.

Upcoming Event!

Habitat will celebrate nineteen years of service to Wayne County this Friday, May 1, 2009.  We will be holding our Annual Celebration at the First English Lutheran Church beginning at 6:00 pm.  Come help us honor our donors, recognize our volunteers and meet our new partner families.  Join us for an evening of fun with special music by Twelve Strings, guest speakers Brandy McClanahan and Mayor Sally Hutton, dinner by Santibel Caterers, door prizes and silent auction.

Current Worksite

Richmond Career Center’s Building Trades class is helping us rehab 730 South 6th Street.   Call for volunteer times.

New Staff

Habitat would like to welcome Jim Swardenski, our new Construction Supervisor.  Jim was the on-site construction supervisor for the Fountain City Wesleyan sponsored house.  That house was a record build in 40 days.  Welcome aboard Jim.

Special Donation Opportunity

An anonymous donor has pledge to match dollar for dollar up to $5,000.00 for any “new” donor donations until May 30, 2009.  Double your donation, if you qualify as a “new” donor, someone who has never given to us in the past, please donate now.  No amount is too small.  Just write “new donor” in the memo portion of your check.  Please help us meet this goal.e
